QuickNews: Lackawaxen Bank Robbed

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a bank in Lackawaxen was robbed this morning.

In an afternoon press release the PSP said:

“On June 1, 2016 at approximately 10:30 am, the Honesdale National Bank located at 180 Scenic Drive, Lackawaxen, Pike County, Pa. was robbed.  The suspect is described as a white male wearing a mask, approximately 5’7”, dark colored hair and eyes. The suspect brandished what appeared to be an unknown firearm.

“The suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of currency. The suspect fled in an older model black car.

“This investigation is in the early stages and as more information becomes available, it will be released. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Blooming Grove at 570-226-5718.”

At this time no other information has been made available.  MilfordNow will not release any information unless confirmed by the PSP or the Pike County District Attorney’s Office.
